Empco-Lite's Model B lights were tested in accordance with the ITE Standard for Flashing Warning Lights by an independent laboratory qualified to test industry lights with have to meet the established standards outlined in section 6D-5 page 310 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, laid down by various committees in close coordination with the U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration.

Empco-Lite's Model #1002 and #1102A lights meet all standards, i.e. 12 volt, 8% on time, 1-7" lens, 1-7" reflector plated, flash rate of 55-75 F.P.M., produces 35 candelas after a flashing period of 168 hours.

Empco-Lite's Model #400E may be used as an equivalent to the battery powered "B" Lights.  Model #400E specifications: 110 VAC, 50% on time, 1-7" lens, 1-7" reflector plated, flash rate of 55-75 F.P.M., produces 300 candelas continuous.
