With 4 D-Cell Alkaline batteries this 3volt battery holder will provide 34 ampere hours of life. If two holders are used in our 499L3 the capacity will be doubled giving 68 ampere hours of life. This doubles the life of any D-Cell light currently on the market.	With 4 D-Cell Alkaline batteries the 6 volt battery holder will provide 17 ampere hours of life. If two holders are used in a standard 6 volt barricade light the capacity will be doubled giving 34 ampere hours of life. This is a 70 to 140 percent increase in ampere hour capacity when compared to available 6 volt batteries on the market.
